This story really touched me. This goes to show how “animals” are one-up on us humans and how are priorities are seemingly askew. They’re not only ahead on spirituality and connection to our Great Mother (which are one and the same for people like me), but as far as Civil Rights, they don’t even need the term because acceptance and love are as natural in their communities as eating and sleeping. Good stuff
Here you go:
I don’t agree with captivity in any way, but this is a story that touched me nonetheless: http://www.care2.com/causes/bonded-male-penguins-given-chick-to-raise.html
Then I found this “banned book” (it sounds like the term should be archaic, shouldn’t it? How backwards our society can be!) that piggy backs on the first link. I think it’s a great book for children and all families of all sexual orientation: http://www.care2.com/causes/and-tango-makes-three-tops-list-of-banned-books.html
I haven’t done a post in a really long time, but this compelled me to share…
Have a beautiful weekend! <3
I shall be nursing my feet back to health (oh the joys of being a dancer and those lovely occupational hazards!). I love my life
That last bit wasn’t sarcastic I swear, it’s all honest, just ironically placed.
